If you were given 1 day to complete the work which could be done in 1 hr., then we have the natural tendency to procrastinate and complete the work taking entire day.


How to overcome it.

👉🏻 As James clear stated in his book Atomic Habits, start documenting your work.

when the evidence is right in front of you, you're less likely to procrastinate.

Having a visual cue of our daily schedule will help us to realize where we are wasting our energy and start working on it.

👉🏻 Make the work part of big goal.

When we realize the work which we are doing right now is small part of the huge task which is still left to be completed, then we will start to finish the work in hand as soon as possible and move on to the next one.

👉🏻 Setting hourly schedule instead of weekly plan.

As Elon Musk quotes, If you give yourself 30 min to clean the room,it will take nearly 30 min. Instead if you give yourself 30 hours to clean the room, it will take 30 hours.

👉🏻 Realizing the you're not eternal.
