Before we get into what journaling is, let's look at who has the habit of journaling.

If you get into the daily routines of successful people who are at the top of their careers like Bill Gates, Joe Rogan, Tim Ferris, Ranveer allahabadia etc. they have the habit of journaling everyday.

So what is journaling?
Journaling in simple words is writing down about yourself.

sounds simple and meaningless right.

If we track, down to the root of most of our everyday problem, we find its mainly because of miscommunication.
And miscommunication is not just limited to how we talk with others, it includes within ourselves as well.

Lack of proper communication within ourselves can cause focusing on external desires , which would eventually lead to stress, anxiety, FOMO and depression.

So the simple act of writing about ourselves everyday forces us to become aware of the present and have a space where we can have conversation within ourselves.

The benefits of journaling are:-
✔ Our mind is filled with thoughts echoing at all direction, therefore when we start writing we narrow down our thoughts, which will help us to articulate our feelings better and get clarity

✔ When we start looking back at ourselves, we become self aware and our thoughts will stay in present moment, instead of wandering thinking about past events or future happening events.

✔ Staying in present will help us to appreciate and enjoy the current happenings around us,

✔ It will help to track what we are doing either good / bad.
This will lead to becoming more aware of on what we are spending our time and thereby make significant changes/progress in our daily schedule.

✔ It will help us to prioritize our work and do things productively,

🔸 How to start journaling :

Journaling process can be broken down into 2 segments.
morning routine and night routine.

Morning routine consists of filling 3 points in each of the 3 sections.

1). 3 points on' What are you grateful for today?'
eg:- I am grateful for education or having smartphone or having comfortable bed to sleep.

2). 3 point on ' What would you like to do today to make it awesome day?
eg:- I would like to finish this book or would like to meet/spend time with family.

3). 3 points on ' Daily affirmation'
eg:- I am confident and comfortable in my own skin or happy with my personality.

Night routine consist of filling 3 point in each of the 2 section

1). 3 points on ' Amazing things that happened today'

2). 3 points on " How, you could have made today better?"

NOTE:- Make sure to use positive words while filling each section as much as possible, because we are literally made by the stories which we narrate in our heads. So use positive affirmation and words.
